Qualifications & Experience

I hold a level 3 diploma in counselling and I'm a member of the Accreditation Board for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ABCAP). I engage in regular Continual Professional Development, such as the level 3 diploma in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy that I am currently completing. As part of this, I am under the supervision of a qualified supervisor who I meet with monthly to reflect on my work as a counsellor.

For the past three years - and counting - I have been carefully researching Autism & ADHD; most importantly, learning from the lived experience of others in the neurodivergent community and my own experiences as a late-diagnosed AuDHD adult. I have had the pleasure of completing voluntary work with charity as well. Much of my involvement in the neurodivergent community has been on social media, via my instagram page.

Why I became a counsellor

My passion for counselling stems from my own personal experiences living with Autism and ADHD. These diagnoses have given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with them; I know firsthand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. It’s this lived experience that drives me to support others who are navigating similar struggles. I became a counsellor because I want to offer the kind of empathy, understanding, and support that I wished for during my own journey. Helping others feel seen, heard, and empowered is not just a career for me - it's a calling rooted in my own life story.
